Nintendo president talks about NS2 again: No comment on the price date, I want to surprise players
Today, during the Q & A session at Nintendo's shareholders' meeting, President Furukawa Shuntaro talked about the release and pricing of the Switch successor model.
Timing of release of successor models
When asked whether the successor model is included in the current fiscal quarter sales forecast, Furukawa Shuntaro said that the full fiscal year performance forecast will change greatly due to the release of successor models and software. But in order to disclose information to investors in a fair and fairness manner, Nintendo decided to release the full-year performance forecast in a timely manner.
Pricing of successor models
As for the pricing of the successor model, Mr. Furukawa revealed that no decision has been made yet. He said that Nintendo attaches great importance to surprising customers, and revealing specific product information and sales strategies in advance will destroy that sense of surprise.
